Reflections on an eventful nine months to VizChitra 2026.

· 160 words · 1 min read ·

Now that VizChitra has ended, and I have come out of a six-month hibernation to meet friends and catch up with family again, one question keeps popping up in every conversation: “So, how was VizChitra?”

Over the last few days, I have struggled to answer that question. How do you summarise nine months of effort, feelings, and ideas in a small conversation? I probably want to sit and talk to them for a full day about everything I can think of.

But as I was sharing some thoughts about VizChitra with a couple of colleagues today, all I could think and talk about was the people. And I think that is what VizChitra was for me: the people I got to do it for, and how important it was that I got to do it with them.

The conference itself felt like a good consolation prize.
